During the month of April:

Our class continued our Seed and Plant Unit, which ties in science.  We planted some seeds in the classroom and we are observing their growth. 

Each child was presented with a seedling to plant with their families from the Green Club.  This was in recognition of Arbor Day.

Our bulletin board explained the purpose of keeping the earth clean and ways in which we could do that.

During the month of May:

We finish our letter of the week during this month, which means we have learned every letter and the sound it makes!

We continue focusing on the springtime and all the wonderful things that come with it!  Flowers, bugs and farm animals will be our themes. 

We will make some wonderful gifts for our mothers this month, in recognition of Mother’s Day. 

We have a long Memorial Day weekend, due to two unused snow days.
