Role Playing as Native American Children |
Mrs. Massicotte |
NCS - 4th Grade |
Students in Mrs. Massicotte’s fourth grade social studies class enjoyed a day of role playing as Native American children. With the help of Mrs. Richardson, Mrs. Snell, Mrs. LaPort, Mrs. Colson, Mrs. Quackenbush, and Mr. Enders, students learned that Native Americans believed, “You can learn while you play and play while you learn.” Students learned to play 5 different Native American games that were traditionally played to bring the community together, enhance the powers of observation, celebrate the Mid-Winter, and learn good sportsmanship.
