Current news:

• Opening day for students at NCS is Wednesday, September 8 (updated August 30, 2010)
  Some folks have expressed concern regarding the Renovation Project, particularly with regard to the asbestos abatement component. Please be assured that all asbestos work is carefully monitored and levels are tested daily by the Ambient Corporation representative, who is on site everyday. We are performing all necessary tests, and following all legal mandates. We will open on time on Wednesday, September 8.

• 2010-11 School Year to start on September 7, 2010 (updated August 27, 2010)
  Northville Central School will hold a Superintendent's Conference day on  September 7, 2010.  The first day of school for students is September 8, 2010.

• New Elementary Building Principal - Mr. William Crankshaw
  The Board of Education of the Northville Central School District appointed Mr. William Crankshaw to the position of Elementary Building Principal at its public meeting held on Thursday, August 26, 2010. For more information, please view "New Elementary Building Principal" from the menu on the left under "Superintendent's News."

• Mr. Fitzgerald's report with regard to Administrative Staff at NCSD
  Anyone who would like to view the report, please contact Mrs. Laurie Groff to obtain a copy.

• Modified Soccer to start Tuesday, Sept. 7th 3:15
  Modified Boys and Girls soccer (7th and 8th graders) will begin on September 7th at 3:15 at NCS. Please remember that your shinguards need to have a NOCSAE safety seal or tag attached to be legal.  Soccer players will also need bring in $10 for game socks to go with your uniforms (you will keep your socks at the end of the season).  

  ** All athletes who have not yet had a physical with the school doctor, you must bring proof of a physical from your doctor before, or at, the first practice.  YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE WITHOUT A CURRENT PHYSICAL.

• Thanks to everyone who attended the Northville Central School District's public 'Meet and Greet' session on Wednesday, August 18, with the two finalists for the Elementary Building Principal position.
  
  Each candidate spoke briefly to the audience. Following that, each candidate was given the opportunity to address general questions from the audience. Audience members were asked to complete a short survey related to each candidate, but endorsements of specific candidates were not solicited.
  
  William Crankshaw, who currently serves as Principal at Glebe Street Elementary School in the Johnstown School District, was the candidate at the 11:15 session, and Arlene DeSiena, Assistant Elementary Principal in the
  Mohonasen School District, was the candidate at the 12:30 session.

• Fall Sports to begin Monday, August 23^rd 
  Soccer players - please remember that your shinguards need to have a NOCSAE safety seal or tag attached to be legal.  Soccer players will also need bring in $10 by Friday Aug. 27th for socks to go with your uniforms (you will keep your socks at the end of the season).

• Welcome back students for the 2010-2011 school year!
  School will be begin on Wednesday September 8^th for students.  Please check the classroom supply lists to see what you need to be best prepared for a great school year.

  On August 3rd, Mrs. Sperry was elected to the NCS Board of Education
